Ladies you are going to want to hear these-they are game changers.

The first reason is: She understands that preparation is vital to a successful marriage

What’s Wisdom?

Wisdom is defined as the capacity of the mind that allows us to understand life from God’s perspective. It’s applying knowledge effectively.

And

What’s Preparation?

Preparation is the action or process of preparing or being prepared for use or consideration.

Preparation is important whether you are preparing for marriage or a job interview.

Truth is you may think that preparing for the job interview makes more sense that preparing for marriage but

I want you to think about this for a moment:

– you went to school to prepare for the working world or to create a career path

– you took driving lessons to learn to drive

Why?

Because you knew you needed to learn as much about the process to be successful.

It’s the same thing with preparing for marriage-it’s a must

I know when you get married you want to STAY married. You my friend does not want to be a negative statistic

Have you seen any recent statistics about divorce rates? Hear this

https://legaljobs.io/blog/divorce-statistics
  • Marriage divorce statistics reveal that roughly every 36 seconds, there is a divorce occurring somewhere in the US.
  • A couple currently going through their first divorce is aged 30 on average.

The average age for persons going through a divorce for the first time is 30 years old. According to a recent report, more than half, or 60%, of divorces involve spouses who are between the ages of 25 and 39.

Stop thinking your age is a deterrent. You are in a good place to get marriage right! Even if you

have been divorced-prepare what areas can be improved?

A wise woman knows that preparation is key because marriage is an institution created by God to

bring change to the earth. Marriage is an assignment it isn’t solely for fun. She knows that she

MUST prepare to partner with God.

Preparation isn’t just for your physical body exercise is good but it must also include preparation

your soul-your mind, your will and your emotions (where the battles will rage)

You prepare or learn how to conduct yourself as a wife, a mother and all the other vital roles that

you step into when you walk down that aisle.

Wearing that beautiful bridal dress -some persons may be able to see that you’ve toned up your

arms or you’ve dropped some weight but the changes where no eyes can readily see will serve you

the best is your hope of finding marital harmony.

Prepare, Prepare, Prepare:

  • Read books (information you need transformation)
  • Ask questions
  • Be open

The second reason- she understands the importance of sound financial Planning

What’s Financial Planning?

Here’s a definition I found on the web:

Financial planning is a step-by-step approach to meet one’s life goals. A financial plan acts as a guide as you go through life’s journey. Essentially, it helps you be in control of your income, expenses and investments such that you can manage your money and achieve your goals.

So here we go do you know:

  • how to budget and stick to it (self-control and discipline-a sale doesn’t change your mind every time you leave home or sign in online)
  • how to build family wealth (yes that which you can leave for your children and their children- yes the blessing)

Proverbs 13:22: “A good (wo)man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” (NKJV) This

verse will keep your financial goals, your vision and your legacy in the forefront of your decisions

and actions when choosing how to spend your money.

  • how to build Kingdom wealth (spreading the gospel takes $ no matter where God calls you to work-it will take $ even if it means being the best homemaker- it takes resources to feed your family). It takes resources to help others. Remember in Acts of the Apostles there was corporate giving and pooling resources

Acts 2:45

and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

  • to build healthy spending habits (self-control and discipline- you don’t overspend when you are angry, sad or when happy-you don’t need to do any emotional shopping. The problem will not be solved that way. A wise woman knows this)

The third reason, she is fully aware of the importance of knowing her identity in Jesus Christ

What’s identity?

  • the fact of being who or what a person or thing is
  • the distinguishing character or personality of an individual

Identity in Christ is important because when you said Yes and invited Him into your hearts things changed even if you didn’t feel a thing.

Yes-hear the truth of the WORD of GOD in 2 Cor. 5: 17

‘Therefore, if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature

altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh

and new has come!’ (2 Corinthians 5:17 – AMPC)

You must choose to believe that the old you with it’s old nature and lean toward sin and low confidence, and low self-esteem and fear cannot co-exist with the born again woman. The Greek words for ‘new creation’ can be literally translated, ‘newly made, or a newly created species of being’

Yes that is what the POWER of salvation brings you.

It doesn’t matter how you feel or how long the struggle has been going on KNOWING your identity

in Christ will:

  • Build your confidence in God and in your self-you know that you can trade your weaknesses for His strength everyday, every minute
  • Build your esteem and worth because you know that He values you
  • Build courage- you will be as bold as lion (you will not be easily intimidated)

Here are some identity Scriptures to feast on:

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Did, you catch that?

You were created to look like God spiritually-you were created in His own image. Have you been told-you look like your Father or your Mother? Well, it’s the same principle here but the likeness comes from your Spirit mirroring that of your heavenly Father. What an honour. How much do you look like Him?

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Yes indeed, you are a new creation, but you must walk this truth out daily. You don’t wake up and all your old habits are gone. Some things you walk out and grows your relationship with Christ deepens and as you go through the daily process of sanctification (as the new takes over the old).

Jeremiah 1:5

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

What has God created you to be on the earth? Whatever He has uniquely designed you for He didn’t make a mistake. Rejoice in that. Grow in that. Become that.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

It’s all about God. Your royalty has nothing to do with you but all to do with God. It’s about living a life that is praiseworthy and directed to exalting God and praising Him for salvation. It’s a partnership that He chose for you to share with Him as you live upon the earth. What a privilege.

1 Corinthians 6:17

But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.

You and the Lord are one. Have you said yes to Christ? Have you confessed Him as Lord? Have you repented of your sins? If that’s a yes-then you are one with Him. That’s a safe place. That’s a secure place. That’s a place of choice. Enjoy who you are in God.

Rejoice in your identity in Him. Be confident. Stand tall. Lift your eyes

And

Go find more Scriptures- remind yourself everyday who you are in Christ and then live in that truth even as you wait on His perfect timing.

Prepare your Heart. Your Mind. Your body.

Enjoy the Process. Revel in the Journey
